Standard visitor visa – ASL Solicitors

Standard visitor visa

Visitor Visa

A foreign national wishing to visit the UK as a tourist or to visit family or friends can do so with a Visitor Visa. The UK Visitor Visa will allow you to stay in the UK for up to 6 months, although you may leave and return to the UK freely while your Visa is in effect. A UK Visitor Visa can be used for leisure purposes, can act as a short term business visa and allow you to come to the UK for private medical treatment.

Non-EEA nationals looking to visit the UK will need a UK Visitor Visa. If you are a Non-EEA national, you may need to complete an online application form on gov.uk in order to obtain a regular visa. If you are a Swiss National you will not need a Visitor Visa. It is recommended during any visa application, you are supported by legal professionals. ASL are more than happy to help you with your Visitor Visa application.

Application process

The application for a UK Visitor Visa should be submitted to UKVI. The application must include authentic documented proof of your relationship and purpose of visit. You must also establish a reason you must go back to your home country once the period of 6 months is up.

If you are a Non-EEA national, it can take up to 3 weeks to process your application which you may submit between 3 months and 48 hours before the planned travel dates.
